How Is Steel Recycled?

After the steel scrap has been collected by scrappers in person, at designated drop-off points, or in buy-back centers, it is then sorted and sent to plants or foundries. The excess steel scrap is then melted down in a furnace at almost 3,000 degrees and purified to remove any impurities from the scrap.
